The Heavy Equipment Division Manager is responsible for the on-budget management of the equipment and leadership of the equipment division personnel. They are to be continually developing and maintaining preventive, predictive and responsive maintenance systems.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with President on annual CAPEX budget.
- Monitor all CAPEX and non-CAPEX expenditures, repairs and maintenance, utilization and under-utilized equipment and all asset movement.
- Align efforts of Equipment Division towards vision and mission.
- Provide support to Equipment Repair Manager to achieve departmental goals.
- Monitor and manage all procurement, refurbishment and repair, PM requirements, quality control of all equipment repairs to ensure established procedures are followed.
- Review maintenance costs weekly and monthly
- Purchasing of all fuels and lubricants and management of usage with the division managers.
- Maintains regular contact with division managers to ensure all equipment expectations are met, including traveling to various local sites.
- Solicit quotes for new and used equipment and work closely with the President and Vice Presidents on purchases.
- Provide reports and updates on all equipment management function.
- Ensure proper licenses, permits and registrations for all rolling stock are completed.
- Maintain all equipment yards and garage locations in first class condition and properly dispose and document disposal of all hazardous materials.
- Track location of all equipment, owned and rented.
- Schedule and track rental equipment
- Ensure development of a highly skilled technician workforce.
- Approve all invoices of $5,000 or less, payroll and charges to the equipment division.
- Actively promote safety and quality in equipment division employees and in the operation of the equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
